Discussing baukultur Our cities and society are as complex as the diversity of people who plan, (re)develop and use them. Cities are a kaleidoscope of change – they have to constantly adapt to the needs of our society. StadtBauKultur NRW provides a forum for both specialists and members of the general public. This dialogue allows residents to query, understand and participate in local issues and projects so that they can have a stake in the design of their city. The conference Stadt:Mensch:Heimat: of the Ministry for Building and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the series of events under the banner neue freundschaften – baukultur in bonn or the Architekturquartett NRW of the Chamber of architects of North Rhine-Westphalia show how this dialogue and communication can work.
